Move your site somewhere else
Ask for an export and we send a download link. It is free, there is no exit fee, and what is in it is written into the refunds policy.
On this page
There is no lock-in and there is no exit fee. The binding version of everything below is in the refunds and cancellation policy; this is the same thing in fewer words.
How to ask#
One email, and nothing has to be negotiated.
- Email [email protected] and ask for your export.
- We reply with a download link.
- Point your domain wherever you are going.
What the export contains#
Four things, in one archive.
- The full source of your site.
- The images and files it uses.
- The licence records for those files.
- A dump of your site's database contents.
What it will run on#
It is not a proprietary format.
- A standard Next.js codebase, so it runs anywhere Node runs.
- Any host that serves static files will take the built output.
- No key has to be checked against anything of ours at runtime.
What the export does not carry#
Three honest limits, all of them in the policy.
- Licensed stock and font files travel as a licence reference, not as a sublicence. A supplier's terms still govern their asset.
- The database dump is a dump, plus a list of settings. Secrets held in our own accounts are not in it.
- Our hosting setup, monitoring and build systems stay ours, though you keep a perpetual licence to go on using anything of ours embedded in that site.
The window#
Leaving has a deadline, and it is generous rather than tight.
- The window opens the day you cancel.
- It closes 30 days after your site goes dark, which is itself 14 days after the end of your last paid period.
- Ask early anyway. There is nothing to gain by waiting and the link costs you nothing.
